So the question is, can we go from a 1/3 HP to a 1/2 HP and does anybody have any experience with this part number? The fact that it's three zeros versus 2 zeros makes us unsure. It's possible the current motor was replaced by a previous owner as it's a diffident brand and again, 1/3 HP. But when we look for this part number everything comes up as this: B1340020S. When we look up the part number for our exact motor it shows that it is a 1/2 HP and Part # B134002S. The motor that is on the furnace is a 1/3rd HP.
The blower motor has 2 of it's 3 mounting feet that have broken, so I have to replace it.
We own a Goodman/Janitrol Furnace Model GU075-3.
